On Thursday morning, AIS is teaming up with BIOCOM (www.biocom.org), the largest regional life science association in the world representing more than 550 member companies in Southern California, to host a breakfast event featuring Dr. Timothy Chou, a Stanford University lecturer and noted authority on cloud computing. The topic is “Putting the Cloud in Context… Laying the Foundation for the Future.” The complimentary session will run from 8 to 9:30 am and is being held at the BIOCOM Boardroom, located conveniently at 4510 Executive Drive, Plaza 7, in the University Town Center (UTC) area of San Diego. Later that day on November 8, AIS and CommNexus (www.commnexus.org), a non-profit technology industry association that works to accelerate the formation, growth, and success of the technology industry in the region, will be hosting “Cloud Security Considerations: What You Need to Know” at the AIS Lightwave facility. This CommNexus Security SIG (Special Interest Group) presentation features Dr. Timothy Chou and security expert Peter Bybee, CISSA, CISA, and takes place from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
