Marketing and Sales Operations and Specialist
The Marketing and Sales Operations Specialist will work collaboratively with marketing and sales management as the go-to resource for developing data-driven insights that shape sales and marketing strategies and executing flawless campaigns with supporting metrics. The Specialist holds primary responsibility for data integrity within the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and implementing integrated marketing programs through the Pardot Marketing Automation Platform.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role is instrumental in planning, implementing and analyzing marketing efforts, specifically email and digital marketing campaigns targeting new customer acquisition as well as customer growth and loyalty. It requires significant hands-on experience designing and implementing campaign automations and providing post-campaign analysis. The successful candidate must be proficient in developing and utilizing templates for automations, emails, and landing pages. Expertise in Pardot is preferred, but extensive experience with other marketing automation platforms integrated with Salesforce will be considered.
This position also supports Sales Management as steward of CRM data and Salesforce Dashboards used to track company, team, and individual KPIs and works toward elevating use of data from assessing what’s been done to driving future strategies and tactics.
Description of Duties
Provide strategic input in campaign development, implementation, and analysis
Use database marketing strategies, techniques and tools to create programs of triggered messages and digital experiences based on customer behaviors and preferences
Develop and maintain policies, procedures and standards relating to database management including ensuring data integrity and monitoring transaction activity
Develop best practices for database initiatives including frequency of contact, sub/unsubscribe, and utilizing test and control methods effectively
Gather/query and format all data needed for generating or uploading direct marketing lists to support campaigns and sales team efforts
Report on sales activities, customer acquisition and churn, and marketing campaigns through Salesforce reports and dashboards
Manage attribution of leads, contacts, activities, and revenue
Analyze data to identify opportunities, issues, and recommended course of action
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with Marketing Automation tools, Pardot and Salesforce (preferred)
Collaborate with and direct activity of external, contract Salesforce Administrator as needed
Pursue and grow personal knowledge of database marketing technology and best practices
Other sales operations and marketing projects and tasks as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Communications or related field required. Minimum three years of experience focused on marketing automation and campaign management is required.
